Independent energy data management provider, IMServ Europe Ltd, has been shortlisted by the 2017 Energy Awards within the Energy Data Collection and Analysis (Project-based) Category for securing Capacity Market entry for Anglian Water within 8 weeks.

IMServ Europe Ltd has been confirmed as a finalist at the 2017 Energy Awards, which is due to be held in London this December.  The award submission focussed on their achievements with Anglian Water where they secured Capacity Market entry for them within 8 weeks.  Anglian Water were the only water company attempting to enter the capacity market, independent of any aggregator, which meant that they were the first to gain the Metering Certificate.

Katrina Coombes, Carbon & Energy Bureau Manager, IMServ commented:

“A bespoke Capacity Metering solution of 77 meters on back up on-site generation was installed, and we created the technical WP197 Metering Statements, which passed the EMRS validation. By employing end-to-end project management and a consultative approach, any issues that arose throughout the complex process were quickly resolved.”

“We are pleased to be recognised by the Energy Awards and look forward to delivering ongoing data collection from the capacity meters, providing accurate data for settlement in the Capacity Market to ensure accurate payments. The project is now being expanded to other sites with generators within the Anglian Water portfolio – which is a testament in itself.”

The awards ceremony, held on the 6th December, will be attended by some of the most senior operators in the energy market both local and international.
