IMServ backs major energy suppliers to go live with P434, an early milestone on the road towards MHHS

With the fast-approaching deadline of industry modification P434 that materially changes the way electric unmetered supplies are settled, IMServ, the meter data management experts, have recently agreed to support two energy suppliers with the transition. British Gas and Brook Green have both awarded IMServ contracts to support the evolution to the new unmetered trading arrangements in line with the requirements of P434, one of the key stepping stones of the Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programme.

The news comes as the P434 compliance deadline approaches on 4th April 2024. P434 requires that all new Non-Half Hourly (NHH) unmetered electric services need to be settled on a Hour Hourly (HH) basis. Existing unmetered NHH services will then be migrated over a 12-month period, requiring a change of measurement class. Suppliers that are not compliant after the 4th April will not be able to take on any new NHH unmetered contracts.

IMServ’s expertise in managing electricity settlement, change of measurement class for meters, and the extensive experience in unmetered supplies via the Power Data Associates team, now part of IMServ, means that they are best placed to support Suppliers through the changes required under the P434 modification.

IMServ’s acquisition of Power Data Associates in 2023 means that the business is now unique in its ability to offer support across the new MHHS services – Advanced Data Services (ADS), Smart Data Services (SDS) and Unmetered Supplies Data Services (UMSDS)
